18' or 19"on my e90 320i

Re: 18' or 19"on my e90 320i

Don't just compare sizes this way. Too simplistic.

Compare against:

~ wheel weight (forged 19"s may be lighter than cast 18"s)

~ tyre weight (your 19"s tyre model might be same weight as your 18"s tyres)

~ distribution of weight on your wheels - even or heavy lipped? An evenly distributed monoblock 19" wheel might face lesser rolling inertia than an 18" wheel with heavy barrel/lip

Hi, that's really a deep edu. I just go for the change becos I really can't stand the replica from the prev owner (sorry if I flame anybody). The seller still got the cheek to tell me it's genuine!

Took over a staggered set from an ex 335 owner, if I never hear wrongly, also advice to go for JB, but then understood N46 re map can do the job, correct me if I'm wrong.

Back to yr reply. Thanks for the advice, really can feel the diff, in terms of handling. Going for coilover now, hee hee hee ...

i tink staggered is for stability and drivability, which mean back rims is wider

Re: 18' or 19"on my e90 320i

the pix is 20" of coz sibei swee
18" is smaller the curve and concavity will not be that great ...

Re: 18' or 19"on my e90 320i

yea 18inch not that swee, haha still thinking abt bc coilover though mcwell guys say its known for their hardness

Re: 18' or 19"on my e90 320i

Prefer 19 as well. Ride wise more stable then 18 though FC went up by 5%.
By the way was on 18 non staggered so not sure whether it was due to 19 non staggered now that resulted in above changes.

Re: 18' or 19"on my e90 320i

installed a 19" with 12mm spacer at the back...
just prefer that little bit wider stance it gives...
cheers...

Re: 18' or 19"on my e90 320i

Re: 18' or 19"on my e90 320i

hi all ..
i am new here and like to change me rims too..
decide whether 19" or 18"....
what is the recommended tyre profile for both ?
thanks in adv.

Re: 18' or 19"on my e90 320i

Does having 19" rims means that the fuel consumption will be higher? How much more expensive will the tyres cost?
