Hi Bros & SiSs,

I'm thinking of changing my 18" tyres (225/40/R18 & 255/35/R18) for my E90 320i.
Any recommendation on the brand and model?
Price indication?
Thanks.

Re: 18" Tyres Recommendation?

PSS!

Gyf1a2 cheaper and heard not bad too.

Re: 18" Tyres Recommendation?

Run Flats - Bridgestone Potenza RE070R or RE050A
Non Run Flats - Michelin Pilot Super Sport

IMHO.

I tried re050a rft for a while and it is the worst tire i ever had! Noisy even when new and like riding on bricks and tramline alot!!

S001 rft better!

They have RFT for S001 now? Cool
S001 definitely better than RE050A.

Seems like we've got a bunch of PSS fans here... hahaha.....
BTW, I'm using 18" PSS too.... =)

Re: 18" Tyres Recommendation?

Seems like Michelin PSS is the favourite!
Is it a RFT?
Any price indication?

NOPE, it is not.

SapphireSpite already gave an indication of the price, scroll down a bit.

Re: 18" Tyres Recommendation?

PSS/RE11/AD08/Direzza XII are the creme de la creme tyres.

However, if you do not drive like a mad man, the likes of PS3/RE05/CSC3/5/Assym are good enuff.

Re: 18" Tyres Recommendation?

The BMW M's come factory fitted with PSS (I think).... Nope - not RFTs...

Re: 18" Tyres Recommendation?

If not fitted with RFTs, then we have to take the risk of punctured tyres since we do not have spare tyres rite?

There are other options like Emergency Repair Kit or AAS 24hr Towing Service (free for members).

Anyway I am staying with RFT while PSS is on hold till Michelin comes out with a RFT version (best they have now is PS2 Run Flats).

Absolutely! And that's why I've a bottle of fix-a-flat in my boot.

Re: 18" Tyres Recommendation?

Once you use the fix-a-flat, the tyre is gone case.
Cannot be salvaged anymore

Please do keep track of it's expiry date, in case when need it ("touch wood") it is expired.
