wat is the cheapest price you all ever come across for 18" low profiles.. my all 4 tyres need to change and currently have abit of financial problem.. help is greatly appreciated. tks
tks guys... went jb did balancing and they said my tires can only maybe take 2 times of servicing b4 they fail.. me currently using falken ziex also.. tink its the $180 tire. heard friend say go scrapyard and maybe can find 18" tires still in quite good condition at below $100 per tire. maybe i go check it out and let you guys know if its true.
please look for the date of manufacture when buying tires. Rubber ages when exposed to light and ozone. This hardens the rubber and leaves you with a lot less grip in the wet and dry.
On the side of the tire, look for the DOT (department of trasnport) number. There will be some alphanumeric characters followed by 4 digits. The first few alphanumeric characters just state the factory code where the tire is made. The next 4 digits (which appear in a little moulded indent) shows the 2 digit week number followed by a 2 digit year.
Any tire >2yr old should be avoided. Unless you just wanna do burnouts and donuts...
