There's one at my carpark in Bishan if you wanna get a closer look
The owner lives directly one floor below my unit.
Car used to be red like in the pictures you posted, but he's since sprayed it to black.

It started looking better with this 4th generation...

The classic one still beats the 2nd to 4th generation...

Yup... i've pottered about in a 3rd and 4th gen QP. Really spacious and luxurious for a car at its time. Remarkably american feeling too. But by now got some funky seh goh smell. A mint condition one is still on HSM, and the prev gen one is being used as a loner car, but none of us would touch it with a stick hehehe...

I've seen the red Biturbo quite often over the years. Usually around Orchard/ Chijmes/ Raffles Place areas. Looks great -- nicely kept.

Nice... check out the quad tailpipes...

Re: 1985 Maserati Bi Turbo spotted!

used to own a 1987 or 89?? bi-turbo way back in abt 1994??....off white color... can't really remember the exact year.
looks great, and a pretty powerful car. let down by the handling though, as it skids easily, and an electrical nightmare!! and the aircon is also a problem....
best thing i like abt the biturbo?? the clock.... :)

Re: 1985 Maserati Bi Turbo spotted!

wow. the CLOCK. hmm interesting. a great looking classic car. :)

Re: 1985 Maserati Bi Turbo spotted!

It is the pinnacle of unrealiability. Italian from that era at its best. There was a shipment of 6 manual 2 litre turbo for the Singapore market and they all use the dog-leg gearbox.

I would rather buy an Alfa Series 105. :)

Re: 1985 Maserati Bi Turbo spotted!

this is the famous maserati clock...

the real thing looks much better. and if i remember correctly, it is swiss made and cost about US$1k??? it really helps to accentuates the overall luxury feel of the interior...

Re: 1985 Maserati Bi Turbo spotted!

the clock is the trademark feature of maserati. on the 3200gt, it was made by jaeger, as were the speedo, and it cost way more than 1k. interestingly, on the qp it was the source of an uncorrectable problem. because now it's connected to the car's central entertainment/gps system where it could be controlled digitally on the lcd screen, whenever the world clock system kicks in to self check your GMT, it will spin round and round non stop. I term it the crazy clock. that's why on the new GT, it's now disconnected and is run as a system separate from the central screen.
