my car already comes with pro-logic 7 13 speaker system. I manage to get the from performance as part of the deal...so I see no need in changing the speakers....Those at Swift are advising (or hustling) me to add in woofers.

I think the car is a work in progress.

New car leh, warranty can be useful for the early months...

thanks for the congrats......haven't seen too many new 7 series on the road. According to Performance I was 1 out of the first 15 buyers to get the car....mine is titanium silver with black interior......plate number 7575.......

and her name is "Helga"......(i.e. a big n sexy beast)


According to my understanding, only certain mods affect the warranty, which does not include what I am doing to my car. Please correct me if I am wrong.....If I am please cross fingers that I do not need to use the warranty.

I'm no teckie, so I can't advise you.
But wat i understood is that, if you touch the electronics, or tapped the wirings, electronically-related items may have their warranty affected.

Of course, you have all my fingers and all my toes crossed that you don't need the warranty.
Perhaps for the benefit of all forumers here, can someone who is familiar in this part advise us?

Since u are already doing stuff at swift motion, its best u heed their advice. They are one of the top players in this field, at least by reputation currently. Otherwise, ICeman can provide the technical stuff....
If u have strong midbass already, u may go for 2 x 12", and i wud suggest IDMax which is very transparent.
Your stocks speakers....hmm.... change change change...

Those at swift tell me that the speaker system is good....esxuce my ignorance, but can you further explain the meaning of transparent. Dont quite get what you mean. tks

u support everton ?!! Don't get me started haha....
Rarely does a shop suggest u keep your stuff... good shop haha..

i also not that pro but basically, woofers can be defined or transparent (generally speaking)

defined means u hear or some say "feel" the sub bass acutely. Transparent means the nirvana of
sub bass as far as sound quality is concerned. You dont seem to know where the bass comes from, it fills
the whole car cabin. Its only useful if u have good midbass from your speakers, so if u have transparent woofers
u dont actually hear the bass coming from anywhere. I dunno if i explain clearly enough... if u've been
to a good nitespot (disco or otherwise), u will know wat i mean.

anyway, u are in good hands with swift motion...and drivin a 7series means u have money to burn haha... so just pay and enjoy dude.

hello all......just an update.


I have received my car back and the set-up looks pretty cool, although I cant use it as I am always driving the car. :) So now I am left wondering what was the whole point of doing that!!

But anyhow, now I can spend my lunch times playing PS in the car park.

Will post pics soon.

how do u fit the 9" monitor in front? so means u got 2 monitors(idrive) in front? mind posting pics of ur car when done

the 9" monitor is in the centre consoloe between the seats....for the rear passengers.

I have been meaning to post pics up but I have not managed to get around to taking pics.
