325I was towed incorrectly

Hi I need some advise please.
I blew a coolant hose on my 06 325i AT rear wheel drive.
I called my insurance for road side assistance.
The tow company came with a regular short style truck.
The driver lifted my car from the rear and towed it about 20 miles to my house.
After the two driver left my neighbor came out to tell me that a BMW should never be towed that way.
He said my car could be damaged.
The car is still sitting I ordered a hose online and it hasn't came yet.
I am really concerned that my car may be damaged from being towed wrong.
I don't really want to drive it until I'm sure it wasn't damaged.
Can you guys please give me some advice?
I sure would appreciate it.
Cheers

eh... i tot most BMWs are RWD, check your model. RWD than lift off rear wheels is correct leh.

Some models are FWD and should be towed front wheels lifted up.
RWD is rear lifted
AWD is wheels totally off the road
