I intend to drive both again within next week and decide.

a couple of minor points in difference, S5 comes with 19" alloy rims while 335i is 18" if i recall

audi salesman said he could chip up the car for extra 3k and retain warranty, have yet to receive details on what exactly this means but sounds quite attractive to me. don't know yet what bmw can offer in terms of upgrades that retain warranty but will check.

good points on AWD vs rear, and will check on OMV differences too. re hardtop vs softop, wind / rain noise, speed of open/close, ability to keep clean etc are all things I have to think about, Good point on overall weight too tks kentona.

u think about resale as well....4wd is safer..but nothing beats rwd for driving fun. i like the S5 looks..but somehow all audi cars seem to get dated-looking earlier....dunno why

my sis test drove a TT.
she said the red instrument cluster make her nervous. ha

haha. not sure why but the speedometer colours and effect in the audi makes me feel nauseous. feel like throwing up whenever i look at it. wheresas merc and bimmers have a more soothing feel.

i ve tested both car... the new 335i n s5.. 335i is more fun to drive compared to the AWD ... S5 on the other hand is more comfortable n relaxing... If u r a agressive type, then i suggest go for 335.. just my penny suggestion ..hehe

Agree!

If you can stretch for a M3 Convertible, that would be it. after driving so many Merc, Audi, BMs.. no 1 car can compare to the M3 in terms of passion, drive, engine response & sound..

I know i'm being bias here.. but no other car comes close..... yet
