Judging from the quote, your car must be black and you must have been washing your car at petrol station manual washes...

I guess age of your ride shouldnt take into consideration cos if for the last 4 months u did not take gd care of your paint work , still u will need to get a paint restoration if u want. Some had their car sent for paint restoration within 2 weeks aft they collect their ride cos they uses extremely rough cloth for washing, working in industrial area that expose to spray paint or Sand blasting... etc...
$400 to get a good job well done by SFC, i personally feel is worth every single penny cos the work they perform on your ride is more than that.. this is just my experience with them.. dun noe abt the rest.

what have u been using to wash ??... metal brush ??..
Anyways what you have been quoted is based on the car's paintwork, and frm the price, must be real bad... the worse it is.. the more expensive it'll be cause it'll require more work to do it.

Yup $400 for getting rid of all your swirl marks and getting your paintwork to perfect condition is worth every cent. Especially when you see what kind of effort they actually put into your car.
Problem is, it all goes downhill the minute you drive out of the shop. You will need to be very disciplined if you want to maintain that kind of shine on your car. That means no washing of car by anyone but them. Not even yourself cos you will never be able to do a better job than them. No matter how dirty your car is.

Yikes! $400 is a lot of money. But I agree, you want quality, you gotta pay for it. I'm thinking of going to SFC but can't decide whether I should do so soon or wait until after a few months when the car really needs a good polish.
I was told that car polishing in JB is also pretty good and far cheaper than in Singapore. Of course, you don't get as good a shine but I wonder whether the additional gleam is worth the cash (which is more than 5 times in cost) paid.

u might think this is expensive..wait till u collect the car... u will think its worth every single penny... its not expensive after u see the result... other detaling shops charges half the price satisfaction also half guaranteed and job is half done... especially those who have 'packages'
