I am driving a E66. 7-Series 2008. My average using manual calculation. Filling the tank till the brim each time.
6.8-7.2km/L with aircon ON
7.2-7.6km/L with aircon OFF
Tires Continental Contisport Contact 3, size 245/50/R18. Engine oil Mobil 1 European Formula 5W40.

Btw, anybody can help with understanding of on-board calculation?
I just topped up full tank.
The max distance range displays 781km.
The fuel consumption displays 6.3km/l.
781km divide by 6.3km/l means my fuel tank capacity is 123.96litres?!?
How to explain numbers?

Not too sure what you mean it is based on last fuel tank.
What are the numbers the max distance on-board calculation use?
If based on last tank, my fuel consumption is 6.3km/l.
And my fuel tank capacity is say, 90litres.
Shouldn't the max distance display show 90 litres*6.3km/l=567km?

I know my fuel tank is more than 80 litres because I'm on reserve tank when I drove into the petrol kiosk, display distance range left 33km.
My petrol receipt says I top up 85 litres.
Based on 6.3km/l, 33km left means I have about 5.23 litres of petrol left before top up.
That means my fuel tank max capacity (including reserve tank) is about 90 litres.

The size of the petrol tank all in (including reserve) is 88 litres. The volume of the zig zack pipe leading to the fuel tank holds probably 2 litres. Thus, your total of 90litres.
I have driven till empty and pumped till the petrol overflows in Malaysia. Thus 90litres is about right.
For your information, even after the petrol tank gauge indicates a range of zero kilometers left, there is still about 4litres to 5litres in the tank. So, in reality you can drive the car another 30-40 kilometres when the range on the fuel gauge indicates zero.

Was travelling from CBD to Choa Chu Kang than Jurong on on expressway.
My per-trip fuel consumption was about 10 km/l.
My on-board max distance range based on balanced fuel suddenly increased.
So I guess the max distance range uses the most recent trip fuel consumption to calculate the distance... but still don't quite tally with 90 litres although numbers are closer...
Wonder if the BM customer service will be able to explain the numbers?
Or will they just hang up on me for such trivial questions.

Yes, the range calculation is based on the last 5 - 10 minutes FC of driving and total range you would get assuming that is kept constant until empty.
I drove till empty on the North South Highway because I kept missing the petrol kiosk which are 20-30km apart between each rest area.
