Rear passenger floor wet and hv sound of water trapped in cavity when going over bumps. Probably rain leak in after heavy downpour. Which mechanic is good and reasonable to trace leak n rectify?

Car mechanically in superb condition after recent wear and tear change outs...suddenly this...sigh.

Possibly the air-con drainage outlet blocked by built up dirt or debris? Had same problem and symptom, removed carpet to air dry and replaced the 'foam' in floor panel.

Bro

This is due to a cracked front plastic or rubber cover from your engine bay leading water from rain to flow to the left side of the vehicle

You will smell a stench from the a/c vent when u start the car

Workshop have to replace the cover and remove carpet for drying

Cheers

Agree with latest posts above. If out of warranty, what I would do is go to one of the recommended BMW specialists stated in this forum. My wifes car had this issue, and was a fairly quick (same day) and inexpensive repair.

Hi Antman,

Having the same issue as above with the current rainy weather. Appreciate if you could advise the workshop and the cost. tks.

I have the same problem with my 2009 730d F01 - water in rear passenger left footwell; lots of it.
Can someone please clarify where the rubber seal is in the engine bay that people are referring to, what it looks like, and what needs to be removed to get to it?
Much appreciated!
