Able to set headlight angel eye to light up during unlock car?

Hi

I had installed LCI halogen headlight with angel eye on my Pre-LCI E90

Had noted that LCI E90 318i owner when unlock car, the angel ring will light up.

Able to do the same on P-LCI model? Just coding?

And 1 more qns. Just to check. Able to set the angel eye to be on as DRL? I know can only do it when on the small light aka turn 1 knot to right on the light control. But its manual and when stop and exit car it will prompt car light not off. not auto like when set to auto. At auto mode its just auto and the normal beam will be on.

Anyway or how to get ard this?

set your headlight to auto and try in a dark place to see if the welcome lights work.
if doesn't work, then might need coding.

needs coding....need to bear in mind even though the headlight set is lci....the brain, ie your OBC programming is still pre-fl e90.
same thing alot of the pre-lci e60 guys been asking.
your best bet would be to seek advice from Kelvin of Soundwerks to see if they can tweak your coding to achieve that

If not wrong, you need a later footwell module to support this function. Our PFL e90 using old footwell module which even coding cant achieve this..

i also driving e90 PFL and change to LCI halogen Headlight (with AE). I can see the day light function in BC menu. But it doesn't work even i turned it on. So i went ahead to check with BMW specialist in JB. They told me you need to change footwell module to support this function.

Anyway, is better to check with more person to confirm this. I wish to have this function too if not very trouble job.

Same for my E60 PreLCI too...Kelvin helped me re-code liao but still cant work so unless you change the whole set of lights, I think not possible?

Your car got automatic headlight mode at the light switch ?

auto headlight mode think all E90 will have? Its just 1 click to the left.

For my car when I turn auto headlight on - when I unlock the angel eyes would turn on ....

footwell module FRM3 for E90 LCI goes for close to USD400 (price is from a US parts dealer). not sure how much local stockist will sell it for.
