Sorry to hear bout e accident & glad to know tat u & yur family members r not hurt..
My suggestion is to go to yur trustworthly workshop to have e engine bay inspected & play by ear from there.
If after inspection, some defects / damage at e engine bay areas, go PML to settle it. If its only bumper / paintwork / dents, go to yur comfortable workshop to have it done. Best is a workshop tat can settle everything for u plus a replacement vehicle during e repair days..

may be I should be clearer with my claim....
it happened 6 yrs back, was driving a E39, involved in a 7 cars chain collision. I was 2nd, same situation as yours, stopped completely behind first car, seconds later I was pushed (even hard press on the brake) and touched the front car. the trunk of 1st car damage & my front only slight scratches, ask the 1st car go to my friend's workshop to get it settled (this was advised by my car insurance agent). my back bumper also slight damaged but the 3rd car was real bad (pity that fellow).
anyway, sent my car to PML, claimed insurance (since my agent said sure win) but of cause my comprehensive 1st than 3rd party. I remembered I paid slightly higher premium with only 20% NCD left, after about 6 -8 months, my agent friend claim for me the balance 30% NCD plus pro-rate all earlier premium paid.
hope there shouldn't be any change of claiming procedure since then till now....

Anyway, just to hijack ur thread, I also kanna one yesterday night. On a merge lane going into the PIE from geylang. I was in front and my right side above the rims got scratched. The other car's front side bumper totally chui-ed. Haha. (beemer body is dam hard lar).
What are the chances of claiming 3rd party from the other guy?

using iphone 4 ... the camera is ok only not great.
the pictures look good because of enough sunlight and my car was washed ghim ghim goot goot to celebrate xmas and yet ... sigh
anyway, the damage is not as bad as i thought and i guess it can be fixed as good as new

Just logged on and saw this. I am sorry to hear that this happened to you. Glad to hear that you n wife are OK. Don't let the other things ruin your holiday spirit ya. I know it's inconvenient...but things can be fixed/replaced and $ can be earned back. So, no worries ya. BTW, is that 313 rim? Nice...

I have collected my car from SWC. Mike has restored my car AS GOOD AS NEW ... put a big smile on my face
Downtime = 2 days (day 1 - 10am drop, day 3 - 2pm received sms done)
cost = $0
arrangement = drop off, drive off rental car, collect car - absolutely troublefree
He mentioned in a chain accident situation you may not be able to claim 100% but he said he will fight !

anyhoo, just called up MSIG and enquire why my premium went up.
the person explained to me it is due to this accident, my driver profile/rating is 'downgraded'
i said, i have no claim on my own and no 3rd party claim against me. isn't my so called profile is 'perfect'?
i don't expect any favorable answer from them, anyway.
