dun forget parf only 30% instead of 50%,so depre calculation is different

actually, unless you are going to hold the vehicle for the full 10 yrs, the straight -line depreciation calc is not impt. regardless of the car type, if you bought direct from AD and wants to sell within the first few years, you are bound to lose more value than the depreciation

yup..but dealers or potential buyers still uses the straight line as a guide, so it may always seem to depre "more"..just my take on it. anyway this model i think won't be a volume seller by pml.

the SA told me the warranty for the battery is 5yrs when i went for the test drive, but did not ask about the replacement cost post warranty though. unless they use a very special kind of battery that is custom-made for BMW, I am sure there will be other ways to get your hands on replacement batteries for a much lower cost.

I think the battery replacement is not so straight forward. How to find hybrid battery? This is not cat brand batteries lei.

My friend was quoted $260+k but he did not take up the offer because i) the overtrade given was only $5k, and ii) these are spec down cars. not sure what are the options that were taken out from these units.

If you really interested in AH5, might as well look into this unit:

Hi,

The Event AH5 is really spec down to the max. What I can recalled is

1) Sunroof
2) Auto Boot
3) Comfort Access
4) Comfort Seat
5) HUD
6) Dynamic Damper (something like that...sorry cant remember)
7)
8)
9)
10)
11)
12)

In total there are abt 12 items ..cant remember the rest liao..

Cheers

Re: Active Hybrid 5

Have hit the 1000 aldy on my 520. Getting avg 8.6l/100km. full tank takes me 700km+ thereabouts. Not on eco pro all the time, only when cruising

Re: Active Hybrid 5

hi ah5 owners,
question for you experienced hybrid drivers.
i just took delivery of my ah3 (not many on roads yet, so i post here). my eco pro mode shuts engine very regularly when i am in a traffic jam. it is quite irritating when it is my turn to move as the engine has to start up (battery not charged) and in the meantime, some smart aleck cuts in ahead of me.

anyway to shut off start/stop like in the regular f30s?

Re: Active Hybrid 5

I was driving the F10 520i before I changed to AH5 a month ago. Unlike the 520i or 528i where you have an option to over-ride the Auto Start/Stop (either by manually de-activating it or asking PML to re-program to have it auto off based on last memory setting), the Hybrid model is a default function. Afterall, that's the purpose of a hybrid, right? So, I don't think you can set it to off. Have not experienced the AH3 series but for the past month on AH5, I can say that the auto start and stop is almost seamless to me and I don't experience and lag in taking off from the stop position. In fact, if you step hard enough, you will confirm the 0-100 km in under 6 secs every single time.
