ANy advice on whether I shld retain my exisitng BMW 318i? Going to be 5 yrs old in Apr. A lot of people advice I shld change it b'cos of the lower OMV when it turns 5 yr old? Although I thot the sale value to any dealer would have attached that to the value....

IMHO, question to ask yourself: If you were to change, what would you change to?

Granted yr current car would have high paper value should you decide to deregister, only the PARF rebate drops 10% per year after the 5th year, the COE remains linear. If your car is serving you well, and you don't forsee any major problems, what would you change to? :)

Happy New Year!!!

export your 318 n change to a e90...shd get a decent amt for your COE/OMV

Given the current low prices for new cars, u shd export and get yourself a new ride. If yours is a April 2001 ride, you are probably driving the 1.9L with 110bhp? If yes, u may wanna get something with more power. U can also consider a used e46 320i say from 2004 with the Sports Edition.
