i recently changed my rims to 20inch breyton gts. running on pss, rear 285 front 255.
Everything was fine for the first 2 weeks, but recently, when driving up to speeds >120kph , the car will start to wobble.. anyone know the reason for this? please advise!

Its Wobbles' fault. :D

Are the nuts fastened properly? Was rim balancing done? Did you hit anything recently?

:whattheh: No balancing done??? Which tyre shop did u go to? Gosh! :shoot:

Re: Advice please! f10 issue!

I'm on the same profile and size, no balancing was during change. So went back do do high speed balance, still don't solve 100%, then put in nitrogen. Solve the problem.

dont want to cause any trouble to the sponsors... R.

Don't worry, I don't think it's causing any trouble.
like I always advise my customers, if they find something wrong with a product or service, try to let the vendor know ASAP. It's not purposely trying to cause trouble or squeeze something out of em but more like being fair to both parties. I think most vendors are more than happy to investigate n address the problem if its indeed due to an oversight, wrong installation etc. sure beats having a customer coming after a month later to kpkb n vendor having doubt is it really due to their fault etc.

I think there is a pcs of plate to be add on between the rims and surface where the nuts are. My friend got this problem too on his civic and went to another tyre shop. The uncle unscrew the rims and found the pcs missing. After put on, no problem.

Nope, if i'm not wrong, i guess he meant the hub rings or centre rings or spigot rings:roll:, like the pic below; if yes, pls remember to ask for ssteel ones instead of plastic/pvc rings.

Re: Advice please! f10 issue!

If its any reputable tyre shop, the standard balancing and spacer should be done upon installation. This is sop unless TS bought used and just ask any shop to install. Also dun think 120km/h requires high speed balancing.
Better bring to a good shop and check all 4 tyres. Make sure it's well balanced and spacers are installed correctly. Sometimes rotating the tyre also helps if your tyre has some km on it but if its staggered then too bad. Doing the above right and it still wobble then better bang table and ask the shop put on a new set and try.
