Aftermarket HUD

Saw this yet to be launched new product called Navdy

It is functioning similar like a HUD and connect to your OBD2 port to draw power and display car's information on screen. Quite interesting as you can use hand gestures to control some of the features and it can display messages from whatapps as well. I think the in car HUD can't display third party apps information. Take a look.

my take on HUD since I had being using one aftermarket via obd2 for the past 2 mths+...

* double image, my guess is something to do with windscreen,
* poor image in bright day light, night time is good,
* too much image displayed on screen is dangerous cos of distraction,

They all look so cool in the video and the minute you unbox... tada! Pc of s**t.

I don't think Navdy will have the double image problem as it is projecting the image to its own screen instead of the windscreen.

Agreed with "jjg" that most after market HUD cannot really make it.

Bought one and that is now resting in my cupboard since the day I decided to go for the original HUD retrofit.
I must say that nothing beats the original BMW HUD....... Of course the down side is a hole in the packet.

I never bother to see aftermarket HUD before because mostly can't link to apps in your phone. This one is more interesting because it links to whatsapp as well and this is something i want. Anyway will need to wait till next year then can see the actual staff....
