Aircon acting weird

After having the driver side with hot air from the aircon vents and topping up with aircon gas all seemed fine, for a while at least. Now its as though the entire system would go on snooze mode with not much air blowing from the vents and can feel it becoming warmer, then suddenly it may or may not blow air out. Sometimes had to increase the fan speed but the air doesn't seem cold.

Could it be the compressor or coil or maybe a leak?

Went to a workshop and they found it was the aircon coil that had a leak.

aircon coil and evaporators will fail at about 100000km or between 5-7 years...

It's about there. Just got my coil changed out last month.. Mileage 104k..

My E90 -320I is 8 months old and mileage 20K km. The aircon suddenly started to blow hot air instead of cold air. when I switch it to AUTO mode, the air becomes slightly colder. what could be the reason? do we have to top up aircon gas or somthing like that.
