Android problems with iDrive

Hi,

I'm using Note 3 with my 2011 535i.

I used to be able read sms and access my phonebook thru iDrive, but last week Imstarted to get my calls cut midway thru conversation. And today I couldn't read my sms and access my phonebook.

Has anyone encountered this problem before?

I tried switching on and off my car, and restarting my phone, the problem still persists.

Kindly advise please.

You can try Bluetooth pairing the phone with the iDrive all over again. Hopefully this will help. Good luck.

Hello,

I had the same problem as you when i got my Samsung Note 3.

Go to BMW ConnectedDrive : Software update and download the latest software for your bluetooth on your F10. Save the file to thumpdrive and plug the thumpdrive onto the USB port in ur F10. Update it and everything will be fine....

Exactly. Software updated quite often to keep up to date with new phones coming out.

I drive the N20 528i Msport and using galaxy note 3. Am able to connect to the idrive bluetooth but the phone connection keeps cutting off in between. Unable to get a stable connection at all. I have updated to the latest idrive bluetooth version but still facing the same problem. My note 3 is able to connect to other car bluetooth system (nissan). In my opinion probably the idrive is just not compatible with the current note 3

I dun agree. Dun have this problem at all. My cic idrive connection with my note 3 is seamless.

I updated my Note 3 and that was when the problem started.

The bluetooth connection became unstable and I get cut off midway thru my calls.

Anyway, strangely my phonebook is able to sync with iDrive again.
