but it can technically be used right?
The German seller told me he could calibrate the beam to 'flat', which European cars do when they cross over to the English Channel or vice versa. My concern is that a flat beam may not shine as far as it should be and can be dangerous during poorly lit situations.

Look forward to the LED headlamp which I understand can be used for both LHD and RHD cars.

Re: angels eyes & HID

bro can i chk with you,the 800 plus they r charging,
are they changing the whole headlamp?
or just the internals.
im driving 05 320i e90,i really hate my factory lamp, they r dull and yellow halogen,
i love those xenons, which the xl version and the newer models has it.
i know pml charges abt 7000 to sell you the whole xenon light.
i was wondering if there is any aftermarket xenon can be purchase at a much c heaper price?
thankyou!

Re: angels eyes & HID

Very interesting thread. Anyone tried the set before?

Once at a car wash in JB, i saw a white BMW 4 door with angel eyes that is non-OEM. Didnt get the chance to ask about it but looks quite Beng...

Re: angels eyes & HID

from wat mcwell told me.........its selling like hotcakes......
30mins for the installation

Re: angels eyes & HID

just want to check the level of interest if i were to be able to bring in Xenons with LED angel eyes as well as daylight running function. I am already ordering a set for myself which would include all the required items. it will replace your entire halogen headlight and its comes with the errror canceling module as well.

i think it will retail for just below $1,000 without installation.

Would anyone be interested?

Which country is the Xenon headlight from? There seems to be a lot for LHD cars around but RHD ones are few..

Re: angels eyes & HID

just checked and confirm that they have both LHD and RHD ones and we can make order for either one. so no worries about blinding other road users. :)

Re: angels eyes & HID

Any updates on the xenon? I had installed my headlamps at mcwell. Looks nice only. Actually still halogen lamp. But good enough for me. :)

Re: angels eyes & HID

hey guys,

anyone bought the latest Sonar (made in taiwan) angel eyes lights from mcwell?
i almost bought it until many people tell me that its useless cos moisture will be stucked in there after a while.
anyone got similar experience?

Re: angels eyes & HID

I know there are so many type of angel eyes in the market
I just curious to know which type are LTA friendly and which type are not
Do not wanna go thru the trouble to remove it during inspection
Any advice out there?Appreciate all advice

i think if it's halogen and if you are using oem bulb then it's LTA friendly. If you are using HID then it's LTA very unfriendly. I was on Philips bulb which shld not pass the inspection but they close one eye, think it's because my car has no other mods. so it's based on luck for minor infactions.

Shouldn't you be worried like me more about the headlight showing signs of water vapour? that would cause you to change the headlights sooner than your inspection date don't you think?

Re: angels eyes & HID

bro i had it install last month. the whole lamp, hid, and canceller
this is very personal, like it alot myself despite problems like moisture and sometimes when u on the headlight one side will not light up,and you have to on n off..haha..infact i already expected all this,as chiong stuff always like that..haha
this is minor stuff to me,because life is fair, you lose some u gain some,$800 compare to pml $6000++
i was tinking,i can allow the chiong lamp spoilt 7times...hahau get what i mean

that's the most honest answer i've seen so far.
of course its a personal thing, but i feel that its important for people to know what are the potential problems that the product might have. when you go to mcwell, they say everything no problem.
moisture and one side headlight not turning on i guess are small inconveniences in which everyone has to decide for themselves if they can live with it.
i personally feel that although i like the angel eyes very much, the thought of dismantling and putting it on each time it spoils is too much of a hassle. think might go with DRL instead..
PML is really charging way too much for this..

Re: angels eyes & HID

I upgraded to an after market HID set, 5k 50W, D2s bulb, and very please with the result
