Maybe only 6 cyclinder engines get the chromed window sill treatment.
Afterall, the new 320 is well...a current E46 318i, re-badged. Correct?
It's kind of funny..this step up and step down treatment. Alot of the new E90 320i(2.0 4 pot valve) owners are going to question (at first) how come their cars are slower than the E46 320s (2.2 6 cycliner).
Same N42 engine but tweaked with 7 more horses but Torque remains the same. The chasis actually feels tighter and in stock form compared to E46 318i also in stock form, it handles slightly better and the engine seems more eager to rev.
Maybe because test car everyone whack the bugger and the adaptation just got used to more lively driving lor........
Cheers!
STILL DON'T LIKE THE REAR LIGHTS! Just not feeling it man!
I have driven 2 e90 320D's rented from Hertz in France for a total of 2,000kms. The first time was in mid-April, and the second time is now. I am sending this message from Paris.
The 340nm of torque (more than the 300nm from the M54 3.0l) at 2,000rpm is simply mind-boggling and whiplash inducing, and the thing revs and sounds like a petrol engine, except for a redline of about 5,000rpm. The fuel consumption is amazing, consuming an average of 5.6l/100km while cruising at 150km/h. It is almost as quiet as my e60, which is saying quite a lot.
It's a shame we can't get diesels in Singapore.
Bro, u shd upgrade rite away to get the best trade in value for the brand new 16" rims and tyres.
Check out the folders in this forum on tyre shops. U can't go wrong with any of them. Just remember to bargain, can save maybe $20 per tyre. As for rims, u have to decide what u want. AC, Breyton, Hamann, BBS? As for tyres, if money no prob, go for Pilot Sports II. U dun need to be a trackie to enjoy these tyres. If u want cheaper alternatives, u can consider the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 (dun ask me why the name so long and damn blardy hard to remember).
I was driving behind a new e90 yesterday evening and the first thing that struck me was how under-tyred the e90 looked. It is worse than the e60 with the 16" and I told myself this baby will need at least 18" if not 19" to do justice keke.
I placed my order end Mar and I have collected the car on Friday. I believed yours will be here very soon. Saw a few 320 at the showroom waiting to be collected, maybe, yours is one of it..hehe
The car is really nice, but a bit difficult for me to drive, cos the steering wheel is kind of stiff for me. I need to use lotsa strength to turn it. Well, I guess it's just a matter to get used to it..ya
haha...what a waste..should have been there to meet u guys..
In fact, i am still not very used to the car yet, so feel very uncomfortable to drive to kallang on a rainy day
Anyway, i am working in town, let me know if you guys have another meetup again at town area..
