Apple co-founder Steve Jobs dead at 56

RIP
Steve Job

Re: Apple co-founder Steve Jobs dead at 56

I am not too sure.... With Apple share all time high and the ability of the new CEO to carry Apple forward questionable coupled with stiff competition emerging..

I am suprise that Apple took more than a year just to launch I4S which is merely an upgrade of I4. The life-cycle of phone today is 1 to 1.5 year. Just look at Samsung..

Maybe Steve Jobs was not around to push for the I5 and got a stroke after seeing the I4s being unveiled which he thought should be an I5....

Firstly, watch the numbers today. It will prob slide. That's just my opinion... With some people who are disappointed with the 4S due to self psycho thinking 5 will be out, it might cause certain unpleasantness in stakeholders. Depending on how much it falls, I will be tempted to go in...

Given historical timeline and thier way of capturing market share, likelihood is that iPhone 5 will be out in about a year's time. Given Ive is still there with a team of great techie people, I believe the 5 might be amazing. Then again, I'm basing my assumption on well, assumption. Only time will tell...

There are rumor that iphone 5 is kept for LTE. Currently, LTE is only available in a number of countries. So, iphone 4S was intro.

Anyway, iphone 4S is the 1st iphone that can operate on both GSM & CDMA network.

Btw...I am not talking of short term like 6months or even 1 year... Its is very difficult for a High Tech company to maintain its position/profitability without having great leaders which create great product/services. I have worked with many High Tech company before so I am speaking from my 2 cts experience...

Phone business can get you to the top very fast but can also kill you equally fast. Look at Motorola. Anyone carrying Motorola Phone today???

Why are we analysing share values now? Shouldn't we be discussing whether I4S will come out in pink or red? Since when did we all become financial experts? This is Ken's job.

I totally agree with you hence I could only comment as far as the next 1 or 2 generations of the products. But having said that, if Steve Jobs is the person we know him to be, his way of the company's management and ideologies might just continue to be a constant and my trust is in the rest of the board he cherry picked. Past this generation of people, then the certainty will be in doubt.

My aunt worked for Apple years back and was in Cupertino with these people. The way things are people done can be seen in her way of doing things now. I'm just amazed how an organisation can change a person's way of thinking and doing things. Anyway, I know of someone who bought some Apple shares when they were just pennies, I'm wondering how much it's worth now.

That person is not a friend, he's family so that would be kinda weird to marry him.
