Arrival of E90 323.....

Re: Arrival of E90 323.....

Got the same SMS. 177 BHP is very disappointing. Worse still, if it is 2.5L, you are paying road tax for a pretty "inefficient engine". If priced at $150k, I definitely pass. There are a lot of cars that you can buy for $150k these days.

Just got news that 323i has reached and the retail price is abt $168k. But will be having a promo of $148k, will most likely display the demo car this weekend.... Comes exactly as 320(no i-drive), just an extra rear sunblind and in-line 6 engine......:singsing:
One small gripe about the *retail* pricing.. Correct me if I'm wrong..

At 182K (retail) for the 325i, you get i-drive, 17 alloy rims and more features? + a whopping 41bhp.
182K - 168K = 14K.

I believe the decision for 323i's retail pricing is taking into account the 320i in the region of (150K+). Perhaps the pricing should be adusted.

Re: Arrival of E90 323.....

saw the car in the showroom today... looks like a cross between the 320 and the 325 .... no idrive, but has the chrome window trims and twin tail pipe....

Considering the previous M54B22 can do 210Nm@3500rpm.

The N52 (R6) B25 in the 325i can do 250Nm@2750rpm.

What kinda tuning is that??

I agree with Ryan... the retail pricing needs to be adjusted...

BTW -- so, do we call the 323i's engine N52 B23 or N52 B25 (323i)? I'm loosing my mind trying to keep track of all their engines!!!

The retail price is just an indication of what the car should be price initially. This will be the price you get to see when you check on internet or magazine. But the actual price will always be so much lower.....just like the 320, retail at $155k.....see what they selling now....

Agree with you. Just look at the 523 and 520....from there you can easily see where it will finally find its place.

Re: Arrival of E90 323.....

well i certainly do hope the car prices come down for the 323...
320AA going for $123K.NOW
320non AA going for 128K.NOW...with promo retail @ $155K......HorsePower?????
323 going for =$148k /NOW........with promo retail @ $168K.........HorsePower177
325 going for=$???? NOW.........with promo retail$182K................HorsePower????

Re: Arrival of E90 323.....

so basically, its a E46 320i... i guess in new guise. 150 not bad i suppose, considering previous E46 320 was closer to 170... but with the new competition on the block, will be a harder proposition to sell i think.
