Ask: Best offset for the new E89 Z4

according to this spec, http://www.tomic.hr/hr/en/newvehicles/z4/z4/2009/_shared/pdf/BMW_Z4_datasheet.pdf

its Front 225/45 R17, 8J x 17, ET29 and Rear 255/40 R17 8,5J x 17 ET40. can they use the E90 offset or old E46? Pak Jack, can you help?

The front is entirely new offset, v low...
E90 of 8.5J and +30 if u hv such rim, but mostly i know on +35 so will be a little sunken in.

Now the rear at 40 is the old E46 non M offset so E90 one cant fit, will protrude out.
The rear will look bah-geh.

ya, was shock reading that on spec attached.

based on the wheel calculator offset,
Front 8.5J ET25 = Outer Position: EXTEND an extra 10mm and Inner Clearance: 2mm LESS
Rear 9.5J ET43 = Outer Position: EXTEND an extra 10mm and Inner Clearance: 16mm LESS

i think 10mm extended should be flush to fenders. might need to roll fender i think. but with the inner clearance above it is safe?

Check with Studie in Japan and then check the spec for BBS RE-V for new Z4.....

Yes, its for our princes B. agreed that BBS RE-V are nice. she looking into 18" now. no silver, no black, no deepdish, tough man. digging hard.

what offsets are those Breyton GTS that people put on their new Zs?
The look fine to me as far as fitment goes..
