Asking a noob question

hi, I just collected my F10 2 days ago, just want to check; today I went to petrol kiosk to buy something, wife was in the car. I left the engine on, the keys are with me. When I went back to car, my wife told me the car switch off by itself.

Then later at night, same scenario except now I left the keys in the car as I thought it was due to the keys. However the car also switch off by itself minutes after I left the car.

Is this due to settings? Appreciate your responses. Thanks.

Hi do u mean the start stop should be off? Means start stop is enabled?

depends on what you want. some people prefer to code it to default off some like it as it saves fuel. super long discussion ongoing for start stop function see which side you're on

If light is on mean the function is cut off. If no light on meaning when in stationery position the car go come to sort of stall as to save fuel and electricity, so personals preference. I always off it after I start my engine. It’s quite irritating. U can also code it off also. Go to a ws to do it. It’s very very cheap only.
