Audi A5 3.2 or Cayman ???

Re: Audi A5 3.2 or Cayman ???

I used to drive an Audi. I had to beg some exporter to take if off my hands when I bought my 335.

Audis generally do not hold their resale value well. This is an Asian thing unlike Europe where it is considered the best selling German car.

The Cayman may be a base car so perhaps your friend should push the price lower. Also, being a preowned car, he would probably be saved from the first hit when he sells it.

A5 or S5 although nice to look at may not have that lasting power also. I saw the S5 three times and every time I see it, the more tired of it I got.

Whatever car u have now if u bought brand new, u are going to loss lots of $$$, try to sell off a 1-4 yrs old 3,5 and 7 series and u will also face ridiculous re-sale px. For any cars that is more than 3 yrs old, there is only paper + body value if u try to push it to the dealer. Brand new 730i going for $210k by PML is causing mayhem to all the used 7 series used car price.

Welbo, got lobang for suspension for S5? it comes with active suspension so not sure if got any aftermarket suspension for that? Springs, etc?

Re: Audi A5 3.2 or Cayman ???

I personally wouldnt change it as nowadays i stick to motto of "stock is the best" type........muahaha.
The usual suspect will be KW and MTM (real expensive here).

Re: Audi A5 3.2 or Cayman ???

If you look at OMV rebate over 10 years, then the differential is insignificant, but most people I know who are active in forum hardly keep their car over 3 years, some even changing year to year. That is when badge and OMV comes into play. My personal experience, low OMV Audi fetch really really low resale value when you try to unload it when it is one year old; whether selling it to dealer or attempting to sell direct, same results.

If i am a 7ser owner and after seeing yr post, i will see star and moon. $210k for marque like this is ridiculously low.... faint.... :yikess: :yikess: :yikess:
but then again, they might just have money to burn.

Back to the topic, Porsche for the Badge, as simple as that.
