Hi all my headlight was always on when in turn it to auto mode.
anyone here got same problem?
and where is the sensor for lighting located??

and another repeat question, who know where to set the headlight AE ring on once unlock the car?

thanks~~

Re: auto headligh e90

Headlight on depends on rain sensor. Maybe the widescreen around the rain sensor dirty?

Set the light switch to auto and the angel eyes will on when u unlock the car

Did u try it in the day or night? The angel eyes light up only works at night or in dim/dark places where the headlight will auto on.
The auo headlight depends on rain sensor detecting the ambient light condition. There's also a sensitivity setting which I think can be set via iDrive. If no iDrive then need to get workshop to do coding to change the settings.

Ya even daytime under big sun >

Mine PFL E90, set switch at auto mode. Inside tunnel, mscp and slightly dark (after 6:30pm++ without sun light) the head light wil auto switch ON.
Under the sun it will not ON.

i do not have iDrive and i read that it was possible somewhere. further searches seems to bring up the conclusion that it's not possible anymore since BMW has changed the software for newer cars. However, there seems to be an alternative for all E9X cars which is to bring up hidden settings on the BC stalk.

can read more about it here. BC hidden menus - e90

the light settings should be 16.01

of cos there is another option which is to get workshops with the software and cable to connect to the car and adjust the settings.

edit : apparently the light sensitivity settings control can be enabled by coding one of the modules. it will display the settings in the BC stalk settings. i'll try this out and see if it works for my car

coded my car to enable the options. this is how it looks like.

from the set menu
img2987zr.jpg

after entering the menu, has 3 settings to choose from. 1 bar = least sensitive. 3 bars = most sensitive

U means can enable it without the method? pull it out to the setting menu just at where we check the oil lever etc?

i don't want to be held liable if anything happens to the car during or after coding.
