Be careful folks, if you mod your car, your insurer can void your insurance. :errrrrrr:

Damned! My company's staff insurance and medical is covered by them.
When I buy insurance, they ask me if I got mod myself before. They say because I'm a robot.iScoupe;649941 said:haha btw staff only non-disclose of health , modification is no valid.

If yes, straight away reject.
If no & found out later, it is considered non-disclosure in proposal form.
The problem is, I could not find any definition of mod in their proposal form.
For other bigger insurers, i think they will not compensate modded parts.
Maybe can be an add-on to existing policy with additional premium. Those would involve specialised underwriting which i am not sure whether any insurance co willing to do it or not.wt_know;650049 said:those running $6k-$8k sport rims like dpe/hre/bbs ... jialat liao lor

I was going to install jb4 on my car.. Checked with my agent and here is his reply:
------------------------
MSIG replies that
1) LTA has to approve this.
2) It doesn't void any existing warranties on this car with BMW.
Once the above 2 conditions are fulfilled, then MSIG will decide on whether they can insure or not.
All insurers have their own guidelines in insuring modifications, but the priority is LTA approval.
Once LTA is approved, it is up to insurers to decide how much to charge.
Hence, it's best to ask LTA if it can be approved first.
Once LTA has given approval, then we can ask MSIG for their view. During this time, I would suggest don't do the modification first.
Thank you and regards.
