Greeting,

Finally I am back to BMW.
After my E46 320 many years back, I ventured to Lexus, Volvo, Mercedes and finally back to BMW again.
Will be collecting my F10 soon.
Looking forward to learn about this new car.

Thanks.

Welcome back.. How's Lexus, Volvo and Mercedes for you? How would you rate them?

Re: Back to BMW - collecting my F10 520i

Lexus GS300 - super comfortable - wife liked it.
Volvo S60T5 - super fast (tuned up a lot) - wife hated it as super hard drive.
Mercedes - is a cabriolet and very fun to drive.
so all very different cars for different phase of life, I guess.

E46 320 was good.
Good power, the inline 6 engine was sweet!!!
The handling was one of the best among the sedans of similar size.

Hello! welcome welcome!

Re: Back to BMW - collecting my F10 520i

Welcome back, you long-lost Dreamer!

Like you, I took delivery of an F10 520i about a week ago. When I first got the car, I only busied myself with how to operate the car to drive it safely and correctly from A to B. To do just this I found that the controls around the gear lever and the control column were all that I needed. And the Climate Control, of course and a bit of the Entertainment System. I just didn't bother with the Control Display during the first couple of days. I'm now getting to grips with the rest of the stuff in the iDrive system.

You know, you can do a search and download the Owners' Manual online. Go through a bit of it before getting the car; so that when they brief you about how to use the car you will be able to understand things better.

Enjoy the new car when you get to it.

Jim - thanks. I am still trying to figure out how to link up the internet to my phone.

Re: Back to BMW - collecting my F10 520i

Goto "System Settings" (or just "Settings")/ "Wi fi"

Was thinking of switching to other continental makes too, but decided to stick to BMW....
