BBS + Continental 19" for $7.6k = Cheap?

Hey all,
Just wanted to check if you guys thought this package is worth getting, or if it's considered expensive.

For the E92 Coupe:

Rims:
Front: BBS CX-R 19 x 8.5
Rear: BBS CX-R 19 x 9.5

Tyres:
Front: Continental Extremecontact DW 235/35ZR19
Rear: Continental Extremecontact DW 265/30ZR19

(The complete set's for $7,600)
Apparently the kit can be gotten for $5,600.
So I'm guessing everyone thinks that that's a good price for it?

Sounds super expensive

Not sure a fair comparision or not but i think it is,
the BBS CH-R I got for 19in with 8.5 front and 11 rear was 4.4K excluding tires

Conti tires can't be more than 2.5k per set for your size

I think 6.5k tops in your case

If its RS-GT or LM/LMR then I would say the price is a steal. For this CX-R.. damn expensive

Yeah, expensive.....

Unless you are talking about the FORGED BBS rims like RE-V or some other forged models then 7.6K sounds about right.....but CX-R is cast and not Forged.

But Iove the CX-R's in the one-tone design ....sibeh swee!

Side track a bit..........

BBS wheels are really good IMO.

Used them for 7 years (the CH) and went through quite a few scary pot-hole situations but the wheels are just damn strong......For the same weight of cast wheels when compared to other brands out there, you can see the thickness of the BBS rims (esp at the outermost rim circumference) much better than the other brands....

Take OZ for example, their Cast wheels are made with weight savings in mind (Esp the Ultra Leggeras) but if you inspect the rims circumference closely, you will notice they are very thin there.....

Also, the BBS lug nut holes are opened bigger than the Jap models which make the OE BMW lug nuts fit nicely..

Why is this important?

When I switched over to VOLKS, I had to get new lugs because my Old BBS ones (which are damn good!) cannot go through the tighter Jap "holes" lah....(kekeke pun intended)

and that's for 1 piece of rim. haha.

say about $1K a piece for the rims. the tyres as someone point out shouldn't bust the $2.5K mark.
total should be around $6.5K.

now, your pricing is with or without GST?

Yeah it includes GST.

According to ST, a set of CSC3 goes for $2,320 for 19". I am under the impression that the ExtremeContact is better than those. (I might be wrong of cos).
But the general feedback, is that this is pretty expensive, and not a good deal.
