Re: Between DS and auto
DS mode means the computer that control the gear changes hold the shift to higher gear at higher rpm, for instance from 2nd gear to 3rd gear in auto mode the changes happened at 2500rpm, in DS mode it will happen at 4000rpm, so the car feel more powerful as the higher rpm produce more horse power.
For cleaning the carbon in the combustion chamber, simple procedure as follow,
- Drive the car for 20km or more to get the engine to working temperature.
- Off the A/C button, the blower still on, as high rpm tend to put huge pressure to piston in the A/C compressor.
- Switch the auto mode to DS and push upward, the gear will change to some number let say 3, means 3rd gear.
- push the accelerator pedal to the floor till the rpm stay at 6700 for about 1 -2 minutes, all carbon should be out by now.
Return to your normal driving habit, the reason for NSHW is because it has enough distance to perform the speed.
