But actually we cannot blame the government alone... we citizens are at fault as well.

When we go overseas, how many times have we encountered Singaporeans talking loudly "Wah so expensive one ahh, in Singapore its only $XXXX' or "So dirty, in Singapore our XXX is very clean".. blah blah blah. We talk and behave like the world owes us money. We look down on our neighbours deep inside us, we compare our "haves" with other nation's "have nots". We are in fact ourselves..arrogant and so the government is our reflection in some ways. And we are in most parts..internet heros and hypocrites. We will say this and that but in real life, we cannot help it and inadvertantly behave/talk arrogantly without knowing it.

I feel damn happy each time I go to some country and not see any Singaporeans.

Fully agreed with you on this. Going overseas, places I go to, I encountered the same things that you have mentioned whenever I saw singaporeans. And the worst thing, when we go to developing countries where things are much cheaper, Singaporeans will go wah so cheap!!! Why so cheap!!??? kinda comments or questions to their fellow friends.
Arrogant and whiners.

And yes, I feel damn happy whenever I go to some country and not see any Singaporeans!

Places where things are cheap, you would have thought we would just pay up but nooooo..Singaporeans MUST bargain..even if its 10 cents cos its the principle of it and also we have the mentality of "cannot spoil market"...

I'm happy that I do not see Singaporeans these days. If I hear them in the lifts or shopping malls, I will crinch and siam. Distinctive accents and behaviour. Somehow foreigners like Singaporeans in their homelands. Not sure that is because we are handsome, stupid or carrots.

Pls don't flame me. I love this forum very much especially HF's threads. Can't think of a day that passes without visiting this forum.
