For me, i use Thule roof rack with bike carrier
Always very stable and do not scratch my car and my bike. Both are my beloved toys.. heehee..

Thanks David, where to get Thule roof racks and its estimated costs? I have an existing Saris RS but it scratched my previous ride pretty badly and doesn't seem to fit the e60 booth cover
