Big Bak Kua Installed

Finally it's in and it's the world's first balanced BBK system developed by Stop Tech of USA.

Details:
* 4 pistons front and back calipers. Both calipers are identical in size but the rear have smaller pistons. This is where the feel of stock balanced braking comes into effect.

* Disc size is 355mm all round with 32mm thickness, floating aero rotors and slotted.

* ST Stainless Steel Brake Line

* My favourite brake pad, Axxis Ultimate with ceramic enhanced material. It works from cold.

* Rogue Engineering 10mm spacers. :ehhh:

Good question Barry...I never asked em but I suspect it's for weight saving purpose.

As u can see, the disc size is rather large so to compensate for the increased weight of the rotor, a bigger center aluminium hat is used to lighten the entire piece of the rotor. Smart idea huh?

Stoptech makes good stuff and makes balanced braking one of their main selling points by prominently listing it, but other braking companies esp those involved in major forms of racing (AP, Alcon, PFB) in fact have known and designed to that goal (amongst others). The idea of balance is not lost with them, rather it is a required concept perhaps so basic that it is not listed. Same applies to lightweight hats. However there is no denying that Stoptech makes a good stuff at better prices for our requirements.

If u buy the kit separately, ie front and back, it will cost more...
I got the kit as a package for a full set up.

If u are just talking bout the rear, I would think it's probably starting from USD 1,995 on wards.
