Hi Ryan,

Since BMW SG is 10 years old this year, how about organising a BIMMERFEST 2011 here.

Any others with suggestions, pls contribute.

Just a suggestion that came out from the sky.

CHEERS.

Re: Bimmerfest 2011 In Singapore

We need a big open space. I want sell iscream at the bimmerfest ;)

Re: Bimmerfest 2011 In Singapore

We need wide open field ($$), sponsors (tuners, rims, bodykits, groomers, workshops), XMM (lots of them please), event organisers (calling ac323), ice cream vendor (calling iscoupe and also milk15 who is providing the ingredients), etc.

Also some games booth or kids' programs.

The best is if we join force with BMW Malaysia. Take turn to organise in each country or something like that.
Then hitmee can find excuse to run lion in JB.

Re: Bimmerfest 2011 In Singapore

I am sure having a Bimmerfest together with Malaysia sounds great. Surely we can get a huge turn out both locally and Malaysians.

Also I am sure we can get suppliers for after market parts for BMW and also Workshops who can attract customers under "One Roof" to do their marketing to be Sponsors.

Maybe Alvin (AC323) can do the organising as he is in this line.

Common guys lets try and make it the FIRST in this region.

Let the ideas flooooow..............

Cheers.

Location can be Big Splash, there's a big enough carpark I reckon, ( even bigger will be the F1 pitstop) but ull need participants that'll hang around almost the whole day and not like any other meetup which last a few hours. You'll need a strong turnout of Comitted owners, word can be spread to extend the invitation to other clubs but keeping it BMW centric. You'll need sponsorships to help fund the event and have enough things for participants to look at or programmes to keep them entertained throughout the day. will need ppl to hang ard to make sure no or does anything funny to the cars. As well as plan for wet weather. Its hard but not impossible, it was done before by the ol'boys from SWOG many years back, holding Wagonfest for 2 years in succession. My 2cts.

It needs a lot of co-ordination and also "Games"/Competition/Display/Miss BMW Peagant/Food/etc...... so owners and guest will hang around for at least half a day or so.

We need ideas from people who have experienced this type of event.

Cheers

And vetting of who/what wares are on show and the sponsors. Nothing like surbos n broquets IMO. Do it for the enthusiast, not for $$$. A miss BMW competition cannot la, we all know how it'll end up. Crap.

Re: Bimmerfest 2011 In Singapore

I will dress up with just G-string with BMW logo , take picture with me, each photo $5 donate to charity.

Re: Bimmerfest 2011 In Singapore

are we seriously considering it? i can sponsor event coverage!:p

Re: Bimmerfest 2011 In Singapore

How about getting PML involve in sponsoring as it will help them in their marketing of BMW cars.

Or even Munich for their M cars

Cheers

Re: Bimmerfest 2011 In Singapore

ideas pulled out from the depths of the internets. what went on 7yrs back.

from circa 2004. Swog'Wagonfest
The SWOG Committee is pleased to announce the biggest event of the year for our esteemed club :

SWOG Wagon Festival 2004 @ Sentosa

This year will definitely be better than last year. For those who have attended last year, you guys should know what is it all about and it would be your honor to poison the newer members to come.

This year's wagon festival will see more trophies of which best dress up wagons will be divided into categories, from K-class, small size wagons to large size wagons. We even have an open dress up categories for vanning, coupes, saloons and SUVs. In addition, we have ICE compeition of which has no relation to SPL or such. We are looking into creativity in musical designs in the wagons. We are holding creativity and lifestyle in SWOG and not just ICE alone as we are in any position to judge one's ICE as we are not pros.

In additions, we are also having banner design competition during the event itself, so please gear up your banner of which you feel will match into the concepts of your wagon. For your info, Rimming1001 walked away last year with the trophy as there are no challengers. So Are we going to let him win again ? kekekekeke :p

Besides, we are also having trophies for the best interiors, best graphics(Exterior), best concept, best rims, best engine bay and others. So better start gearing up.

We are also opening the wagon festival to other clubs. So if you have other friends from other clubs who wanna take part, kindly email to us at admin@swog.com.sg or PM me @ hyperlemon. More details will be released soon.

Wagon Festival Decal Design Competition start today on the 22th March 0000hrs and the design of the competition will end on the 30th April 2359hrs. Winner of the decal design competition will win a mysterious price and a trophy for the competition.

So we have about 2 plus month to start to think of concept and dress up of your wagons. So get ready for the big show in SWOG.

Those Going To The SWOG Wagon Festival 2004 @ Sentosa (Confirmed GOING)
=============================================

Invited Guests :

From Japan
a) Mr Kazuyuki Omori and another friend from Stylewagon Magazine.
b) Editors from Wagonist/Auto Fashion

Fees : $5 for SWOG Members, $8 for Non-Members and Free for Children under the age of 16.
Maybe a photog competition instead of a banner design competition. But it was a properly thought over event. And we had our own BBQ at the end

i think if BMWs not enough to make up the numbers, can always make it a Fraulein-car event

Re: Bimmerfest 2011 In Singapore

Bimmerfest sounds like a really good idea, but as someone mentioned here, it would be good if we could co host the Bimmerfest with BMW club malaysia. Also we will need the support from both PML and Munich Auto. Aftermarket tuners and parts suppliers could chip in for the event and setup booths for ppl to see their show case and show cars.

As for the BMW owners, I guess its difficult to pull everyone together and stay there the whole day. But brainstorming thru on how to make sure the event is a success is part of the process. Im for it :)

Re: Bimmerfest 2011 In Singapore
