Blackvue DR500GW-HD WIFI - Unhappy customer

[BMWM3]

Bought the above model.

Bad impression 1) After installed. Video is good at installer site.
Went back home and drive for 2nd day. Play back the recorded video. Images is grainy.
Went back to installer. Admit faulty set and replace with brand new set. Video play back is good now.

Bad impression 2) Now battery issue. After first charged use for few days till battery flat. No issue.
During 2nd charged, battery cannot charged. Red light blinking (looks like charging). When installed to the camera, run for 5 minutes, battery flat. Now battery can't even charge, no red blink light during charging.

Feel disappointed with this brand.

Maybe i am the only one encounter this issue OR bros sister here encounter the same issues?

I using this model for 6 months now.. no problem so far.. Got it from Qoo10 at good price too..

when u mentioned cannot charge is the power bank? The camera itself do not charge i believe..

BlackVue battery is not meant for it to run for 5 mins... it's supposed to help it shut down gracefully once you power off the car.

If you keep bragging to your gf you can do for 5 hours, then you kaput at 2 hrs... haiyah she run lion blame who?

Using 400HD II ver bought from Qoo10 a year ago, pic still very sharp last I checked so all good so far.

I claim more than 7 times till i dump it into dustbin. Paiseh to claim ..... the dealer replace from DR400HD , DR380....... same shit on my car. But my colleague use DR400+ 380 no issue at all.

I think its heng suay liao.

I claim more than 7 times till i dump it into dustbin. Paiseh to claim ..... the dealer replace from DR400HD , DR380....... same shit on my car. But my colleague use DR400+ 380 no issue at all.

I think so, i use cheap cheap $80 morbella for 1.5 years till i wish it spoilt so i got excuse to replace. End up pass to friend car, i go for kimchi blacksys CF100.

The set could be faulty that was installed in my car. Nevertheless I paid brand new set price but got a worst than repair quality.
I feel like I am rip off.
Lemon law applied to this product?

Man, if you really not satisfy on product, try discuss with dealer replace with other brand instead of refund. I believe they will be happy on this suggestion.

Talk is easy. Write even easier. Going thru my ordeal u will feel total disappointment.
I made two trips there which need time off and waiting period to redress.
Anyway, I had dump this model to dust bin giving way to another brand. Giving other brand a chance. Level playing field...I think

My 1st DR 400 in less than in 1 yr. got it replace w/o question. My replacement also fog up. Got it clean up for $40 from d same installer.

I feel that in terms of recording quality, the Blackvue units are quite good, but reliabilty is still suspect. I started using Blackvue DR400 on my previous car, the lenses fogged up within 6 months due to the heat. Afterwards, changed to the DR400-II, which was supposed to have better heat durability performance, but end up also kaput in less than a year.
On my current ride, I installed the DR380 at the rear, and DR500 for the front. The DR500 can still record clear images, but less than 9 months after install, the GPS is not functional, the date/time cannot be updated, the wifi cannot connect....and the unit feels hot as fxxk when in operation.
I am just waiting for the right time to dump these units to get better camera models...

Itronics ITB100HD is stable. No problems of over heating when my ride park under the hot sun during office hours with park mode switch on.

I would say blackvue really not suitable for spore climates
