Re: BLOOD BOILING experience with alt AD (not the lengke or arang chaps)
Hi fenyman82, sorry to hear about your experience. Most of the time, verbal is good enough but not all the time, as you experienced. And when the verbal/sms/whatspp deal is too good to be true, got to insist on black and white. No bro here and there. I guess thats the point you trying to tell us. Thanks for sharing!

They are reknown for "ALWAYS OVER PROMISE, ALWAYS UNDER DELIVER" - Quoted from some bros on this forum that have similar blood churning experience.
Ok story time...
Once upon a time, there was a bmw driver (me). He wanted to get 2 of his door panels resprayed, so he made some inquiries. Some of the sponsors here came highly recommended so he shortlisted one and made an appointment to have his car sprayed by the UBI sponsor. Then the M AD texted him to give them a chance. So being the brother he is, he gave them one chance to make a deal even thought their previous quotation can allow him to respray the entire car at the UBI sponsor. Ahem, now I must clarify that the UBI sponsor uses the same Spies Hecker paint as BMW, and their workmanship is awesome.. ok I am digressing.
So the story continues.. He met the business developement manager (BDM) from the M AD in his office and the BDM made him a verbal deal. For SGD1k, the M AD will spray 2 panels + PPS + 2 grooming sessions valid for 12 mths. He figured it's about the same price as outside but what the heck, being a bro, he don't wana waste everyone's time so he agreed to the deal on the spot. So BDM assigned a SA, W, to finish up the paperwork, make the appointment yada yada.
Fast forward.... he got his car back after a couple of days. Gim gim from the PPS. So satisfied, the driver went to make payment. When he got the receipt, he found out that he was billed S$1k for PPS and paint job, not the grooming. So he checked with SA W and W said he will "check". To be double sure, he called BDM and confirm over the phone that there were 2 grooming sessions. Ok, everything pans out.. or so he thought.
Fast forward a couple of months... I (typing in 3rd person is too confusin) called up the M AD to arrange for grooming and some body works. "Sorry sir, we dont have records of your grooming session". TA DA, f me! I emailed the BDM and he said he has no records of it so he can't honor the agreement. Naturally none of the SA have records of the grooming too. So it's just my words.. So now i look like some cheapskate out to con some grooming session from them! F! ok calm down. I engaged my jedi drills to prevent hemoglobin narcosis. Being a Singaporean, I shot a complain email to BDM and.... it was ignored.
So bros, I am sharing my experience to warn you that some M AD, although very keen to do business, doesn't always honor their words. I find working with the UBI/Sin Ming bros far more pleasant and they will honor gentlemen's agreement. With the ADs, always insist on black and white!
