First, I am Singaporean.
Second, it saddens me to see the deteoriation of our social fabric that was intricately interwoven for last 50 years.
Thirdly, we were descendents of migrants.
Fourthly, it is a tight situation that we are in now.
Lastly, by the next generation, we probably can't tell if the person standing next to us, or the people marrying our children are locals or not.
There will be such people, but let's unite by not falling into their entrapment of insults and sacarsm. Being meek does not mean we are weak.
Let's work together and show who are the landlords, by not stooping to their levels, and by being gracious. Singaporeans, we can do it.
