That really depends on the driver's objectives but pretty unlikely for luxury car. In my younger days I do have friends (more than 1) who make their wrx look like impreza's wrx wannabe. They were the stealth street racers who needs to hide. Silly tho imo.

if your car is 320 and you put a m3 badge, basically it shows you are a deprived and unhappy soul.

In the past, it was a lot easier to pass an M3 or M5 off as a sleeper, but BMW (and Mercs too, with their AMG range) are moving more and more towards a more distinctive differentiation between the plebeians and the aristocrats, so without major modding (or demodding as it were the case), it would be quite hard to do so.
Jokes about the Lambo being turned into a Sonata aside, I personally would LOVE to get an old AMG Hammer or E46 M3 and with some simple demods, roam the streets looking for riceboys to smoke... but, scared of LTA video cameras leh. Sianz.
