hi bros, any input for BMW 1 series. Any comments for BMW 116.
what were actually your question?
build, power, handling, options compares to?? or aesthetics

be specific so others can chip in comments and ideas.

116 should be an entry range so don't expect too much on power and that means less to MODs. handling wise all BMW should be fun to drive. options, think I would recommend you get it with Bi-Xenon cos its expensive to add later. aesthetics = how deep your pocket that how much you can with it.

And illegal too. I don't think it is safe. Factory fitted HIDs have an auto levelling system which keeps both the headlights at a certain angle to prevent glare. Aftermarkets dont have this option - resulting in your lights blinding those in front of you. Given the HID's focus on the white light and more brightness than normal Halogens - this can cause temporary blindness in the oncoming driver.

If there is one mod which I would request you to reconsider - it would be HIDs.

Re: BMW 1 Series

I tried it out so I guess I owe the nice person who let me drive a short plug.

The car looks sturdy and well built inside. The nice thing about the car was that it had a adaptative seat which adapts yourself to the body.

The car CANNOT lose its rear end NO matter what I do. Even handbrake, it cannot do it easily. Guess it's overtyred.

It understeers more than any RWD car I've tried, but only after very serious provocation.

It is not underpowered, moves at a good clip, but if you want more than urban speed, then this is the wrong place to look.
