Will the 330i get a diff engine? like 272 BHP direct injection?

apparently the new and better revised 3.0 litre Inline-6 with 272bhp will make its first debut on the 335i. I read from one fo the e90post that is the arrangement. Dont quote me for it but perhaps some of u guys here can reconfirm.

Really? :whythis: Then the 335i is only greater than the 330i by 272-258 = 14 BHP?
In the USA, they said that 335i and 328i will replace the 339i and 325i respectively. Some half-fxxx spy shots also showed what looks like a 335i sedan:woowooo:

I reckon when they facelift the 330i that 272engine will go in?

Re: BMW E92 3-Series Coupe M Sport-Package

335i = 300hp
new 330i = 272hp??

so only 28hp different. but i suspect low end torque no fight. 335i win hands down

Re: BMW E92 3-Series Coupe M Sport-Package

the maximum torque for the 335i is at 1300rpm! So low end it will smoke a 330i easy. And i think thats what BMW believe was the best thing as that has been their weakness due to the heavy bodies prevalent in most BMWs or even for that matter conti cars in general.

Re: BMW E92 3-Series Coupe M Sport-Package

I think the "official" specs for the 335i is 306Bhp and 400 NM of torque... thats huge torque - even more than the current outgoing m3!

0-100kmh is claimed 5.5 seconds on the manual...

yummy!

The composite wheels for the e92 is swee. Accesories for the e92 announced liao officially.

how come the pedal shifts so LONG and BIG ?

It looks to me like the SSG paddles carried on from the previous SMG1 version on E46, Z4 and 6er. Each paddle can shift up n down while the M3 type is of solo function, ie left paddle shifts down, right paddle shifts up.

In any case, it's good coz the paddles are standard feature for auto cars like IS250 :)

very nice pictures.....

the more I look at it, the more I like it, and the more I think the M-sport kit is very crucial.... gives it the subtly agressive stance that is somewhat lacking on the stock car.... the stock car looks too "conservative" and "Ah chek:....

Re: BMW E92 3-Series Coupe M Sport-Package

Ok this is also official numbers, but for the USA market taken from e90post.com. These are the prices for their 328 and 335, and the accesories. The reason why I am posting this here is create some awareness of the prices we pay n they pay for BMWs. Of course, these are 2 totally different markets, but just look at their prices and judge how much MARK-UPs performance motors make from selling their cars to us. Sometimes I feel like writing to BMW AG and tell them BMW will sell much more car in Singapore if they distribute directly to consumers. Figures in USDollars of course. Apparently, the 335 is gonna be sold at a premium of only US$3k over the 330i, however I reckon prospective buyers in SG will be paying at least $30k more for the same.
