I thot the f10 door sounds more metal, meaning hollow like what horrible said. My previous e60 sounded more luxurious.
i thought of putting dynamat or those insulation mats but installers told me will add unnecessary weight. I dun wanna come in start a FC thread on before and after insulation mats installation as I scared kenna whacked by old birds here.

Yes when I use my fingers to knock on the exterior. The reverberations feels like plastic or sounds like plastic or a combination of both. And yes i also think it's the aluminum doing the trick. No dents of plastic =)

I will do that when i am back at PML next week. I will make sure i 'test' on their other cars as well.
My previous E60's door felt strong and had the luxurious sound as MW shared in the above.
I googled it yesterday and the results confirmed that the F10s door are made of AL, which reduced the weight by close to 30kg. So that explains the light-ness feel.
