That M3 sure looks striking in orange and black. Those rims look like Breyton GTS... thought that was an original design from Breyton!

there was this young angmor punk salesman....annoyed the hell out of us....i respect sales people for doing their job. but not one who brags and brags,....

he says the m3 gts will beat a 997 MMk2 RS and a lp 570......i say i eat my shoe......

its a 7:48 ring car vs porky 7:33 (top gear track 1:21) vs lp570-4 7:38 (1:20.8 ).

0-200: 13.1 vs 11.6 vs 10.2


if this car cracks 2:30 in SS tires.....i will suck myself. even if i hv to remove 4 ribs.

either that or my friends and i have IDIOT tattooed on our foreheads...

There should be an M3 GTS coming to the next BMWsg trackday. 2 or 3 drivers sharing it, 1 of whom you already know. Owner says they're looking at around 2:22s on a slick tire of some sort.

Will it be faster than a GT3 RS or LP570-4? Tire for tire I don't think so. Relying on a different class of tire, maybe, or close. Regardless, the driver is going to have to be decent to run around those times.. There'll be some datalogs and it'll be interesting to see what the numbers are

The foreign sales person was at the previous BMWsg trackday. Maybe you can ask Munich to get their instructors to take the GTS for some timed / logged hotlaps ? Satisfy everyone's curiousity.

dude if on full slicks at 2:22....then it will be faster than both of the other cars tire for tire...but i still dun think so. nothing points it in that direction. not the weight. not the absolute power output.

Medium mod Evo Xs around 420hp, pretty heavy, have nothing much going for them except AWD short gearing, and some electronics...already doing 30 flat, 28 capable.. So GTS being a bit lighter, maybe more balanced, wider tired, possibly better suspension geometry...perhaps can do the same or better? uh oh.. prepare to remove 4 ribs and...

Hahah jk, but there's comfort to take in that the likelyhood is that the GTS is tall geared just like other Euro sportscars.

22s on good slicks is still not faster than than GT3 RS tire for tire, since plain GT3 with a few tweaks and on mich slicks will do high 22s ("quasi slick" Hoosier R6 mid 24s) . Tires equal, I would guess RS is quicker than an independent tweaked GT3, but we'll see...
