BMW performance exhaust & intake system

Hi guys,

Need your expert advice and guidance.

Could I check if adding the above does more than get a louder sound and more "bling"? Does this add more power or acceleration? Also, do I need to add both to get the results? Or does 1 produce more result than the other?

Look forward to any guidance and advice.

performance intake + performance exhaust = perfect match
performance factor = at most 6-8 whp ... better than nothing
bling factor = 10/10

Presumably, only performance Motor carries them, right?

By the way, any thoughts on the BMW Performance brakes and the CF strut brace?

I had installed the BMW Performance exhaust with PML and the sound is a bit louder and slighty better performance (5%). Was told by the guy at PML that the intake system is for the 335, same for the strut bar.

PML seems very sticky - they will not install BMW parts which is imported from overseas, even if you purchased their cars and these are maintained by them.

Not sure if other bros share the same experience. Cheers

i don't bother to go pml. there are plenty of reliable workshops that provide and install BMW oem & performance parts.

Due to LTA approval / cert (for e exhaust) .. they call the shot.

Legal way = PML ~~

Yup PML is certainly very sticky. i was requesting to swap my 18" rims from the old car to the new car and even remove it from my old ride for them. they actually find all kind of excuses not to do it even when they are preparing the new car. i was so angry that i gave them a piece of my mind....

if you bring outside, they void warranty, you ask them to do, they say cannot... darn! paying so much for so many problems.. sigh

Everything is possible after warranty, even if you tell them you wanna transplant M5 engine into 318

Revive an old thread as I cant start a new discussion... Hopefully some kind soul can help me out!

I just bought a 2009 LCI 320i and got an original BMW performance muffler that was dekitted from another same model ride.
Last owner did not have any cert (my previous Honda exhaust comes with a JASMA cert), but passed me a letter from LTA stating the approval for his car with his car plate, chasis number etc...

My question is how/where do I get it installed and approved on my own car?

Bmw performance muffler got bmw logo embossed right...
My $0.02:
Take a risk & install w/o cert or inspection.
Chances r u will not be stopped or questioned as installation is clamped onto existing mid pipes (fr past experience)
