is d suspension gd???

Just to share my experience.

I put on M Sports Suspension on my E90 323i and was impressed with the stiffer feel and less rebound. I would describe it as firm but not harsh at all. it also lowers the ride some (about 15mm). The Performance Suspension is even more stiffer and lowers the entire ride by more than an inch. Looks so much more chio too.

The following are the types of E90 suspension I know of:
Standard Suspension -> 318i/320i
Sports Suspension -> 323i/325i
M Sports Suspension -> 335i
BMW Performance Suspension

hi, not sure how much 30% discount translates to but just for your comparison, Bimmer71 fitted his BMW Performance Suspension at PML for around $3k inclusive of labor. Comes with the nice Yellow Sports Springs too.

Actually if you are only interested in ARB, why don't you consider H&R ARB as alternative. As standalone, H&R is thicker than BMW PS ones.

H&R
27mm front 20mm rear

BMW PS
26.5mm front and 14mm rear

Re: bmw performance sport suspension

Assuming $3k x 30% discount = $2100. Sounds good....

Stock best. If a road has many humps, I can chiet Ferrari :goodup:

Re: bmw performance sport suspension

Thks bro for ur inform. BMW sports suspension indeed come with yellow springs.
After 30% shld be around $1500 but the labour costs 1K plus n needs 2 days to install.

Re: bmw performance sport suspension

Those technician or mechanic in PML are all holding doctorate degree in automotive engineering to command the kind of fees.. Funny thing is outside mechanic take half a day to complete the same task....

Re: bmw performance sport suspension

They keeps ur car longer so they can charge higher labour fees ma.
If they take halfday to complete, u sure not willing to pay such a high labour fees.

Re: bmw performance sport suspension

$1k labour = Kill People Put Fire.

I am happy to share with you all my ownership experience with BMW Performance Suspension. It was unveiled around May'2009 during the POJ period but I didn't immediately install it until sometime in Aug'09. During this period, I did some researches and found some useful information that I would like to share as well:

What I felt about my ride after installing the Performance Suspension was the substantially firmer nature of ride the moment I drove it. It made the car much stiffer and this could be strongly felt once taken on the road. Fortunately, certain degree of comfort still remained though the car was also much bumpier rather than bouncy. It actually led me to think that I was driving a totally different car and I wanted to "test drive" it. As with other performance suspension kits /coilovers (having taken few taxi rides), it made engaging bends/corners truly a breeze and enjoyable one! I felt that my steering control was more precise too. Simply put, it substantially improved the driveability of my ride.

I have since enjoyed driving much more that ever and unconsciuosly, I have developed a new driving style too. It has since become my second nature to exercise "super slow motion" whenever I approach any hump (common experience with lowering) now.

In terms of the extent of lowering, it did lower the car a lot more compared to M-Sport Suspension. However, it further reduces its height gradually as it settles in (after about >nine months now). The gap is now front < 1 finger, and rear about 0.25 finger. All in all, this is an execellent mod to me. It also gives all bimmer enthusiats another option, among many after-market performance kits.

Re: bmw performance sport suspension

Haha....bimmer71 is da Performance Man liao :thumbsup:

Re: bmw performance sport suspension

Wow Bimmer71! Didn't know you got the suspension kit.
Should have asked for a taxi ride when we met at the June's gathering.
Next meeting I must get a taxi ride from you.

Re: bmw performance sport suspension

Am installing the performance suspension kit and do not want the rear sway bar that comes with the kit as I already have the M3 one installed.
Does anyone wants it?

Cheers,
Keen
