not so sure about that...my ride is 3 mths old while yours had the first signs when it was 17 mths...btw, can share which CSA you were with?

that's true, but my brake booster is less than a yr old. had it changed when i couldn't start my car. the immobiliser sign kept coming on and I had to crank it twice before the car will fire up.

Also, this problem is confined to the E90 series only. so if you're looking at another model, then this should not be an inherent problem to whatever ride you're getting.

I would think that the booster is a standard part for the E90 chassis and all its deriviatives, including the 3 series sedan, 3 coupe, Z4, Z4 coupe and the X3. Of course I might be wrong. THe E90 since it sells so many, probably that's why there're more complaints from the E90 platform.
