Just wondering the number of interest if we were to organise a Sunday Breakfast Run, something like below:

0500 - gather at petronas station, the one after 2nd link
0515 - safety briefing, appoint first and last car
0530 - 1 to 1.5 hours run up north
0700 - breakfast
0800 - run back home
0930 - back 2nd link, pump gas n home sweet home

* bring walkies
* no aggressive racing
* frens of frens are welcome too
* should be a family friendly event

Ps: use to do this during my time with SHC. Miss it...

any interest?

You mean, you dun even know the acronym? Who are these SHC people you hung out with?

breakfast run, anyone?

Back then, our vocabulary were limited to EG, EK, SIR, CTR, ITR, FR, FF, MIVEC, VS, JS, TC, FMIC, etc... Breakfast was a non-event in the old days when we all conked out after the late night ECP/40tiang/orchard sessions and 4am post-Hennessy pratas and nasi lemaks....

I guess what i am saying is...

Its ok to be a newbie. Its not okay to say you have been doing that with another group implying you have the requisite experience to lead a drive with members here, including implying you know what time the checkpoint and blocks are clear.

Sure, you are not responsible for someones driving and/or traffic offences. Everyone is responsible for their own car.

If you say you are a newbie, no one has expectations. Example, I joined aaron_bmw's drive once. He came with details of where, how and who. He came with convoy numbers, walkies and marshalls. There was safety briefing and we were always kept informed. It was well organised and i would join him anytime.

Your question on walkie recommendation? I have 3 types of walkies, because i convoyed with different groups who had different preferences. It actually doesnt matter.
