Nothing to worry, all BBKs are painted (High Temp Paint).

So it's ok to paint your stock calipers, U dun track your E60, so under normal driving conditions, nothing will happened to your painted calipers....

Dun buy those plastic covers....

Many forumers here can bring in Brembos. If not mistaken, Elvis (14m3) has a used set to let go. You can PM him to check.

Btw, many of us like to talk cock in this forum. :D Welcome to the family ya.

Re: Brembo brakes cover for e60

Cover will trap heat which suppose dissipate from calipers, it will reduce the braking power. Might cos cover melted.

Re: Brembo brakes cover for e60

Actually all of yor comments re the "durability" of these covers are over exaggerated lah. When I was driving my former car, a sonata, I also installed brembo covers over the stock calipers. For 3-4 yrs they were on, these covers never melted or affected the braking power of the car. Apart from it's aesthetic epic failure for E60, they are perfectly safe if installed properly, i.e to screw it into the calipers and not glued on.

The materials and quality of these covers now are very good and look really original.

Can punch a few holes at the back area (so people cannot see it's plastic) then it will help dissipate the heat so hopefully can avoid melting ?
