Hi Guys

Was quoted the following:

1) RE 040 - S$ 330/pc
2) RE 050A - S$ 365/pc

All new stock. 225/40 R18

Anyone knows if I can get better deals than the above?

Thanks!

Cheers!
:)

Re: BridgeStone Tyres

hi Tobynick.
not sure abt the prices, but the re050 are quite new (probably newest) in the potenza range. just curious why you chose them? anyway for price wise, imho, seems reasonable... there are cheaper options though. (non-re050, i mean). it'd b good if u can share how's the tyre once u've got it one though. happy shopping!

Hi rich

I've been on RE 040 for 3 years and they are real good for street use. Decent grip. light and comfy. They don't last really long mileage though and if you're regular trackie, don't use these cos you go Sepang once - BOTAK LIAO......:lol2:

And I did some reading on RE 050A which is newer then RE 050. They are supposed to be improved shoes that was developed after the 040 providing the comfort and decent performance. Some super cars like the Enzo apparently use them for factory stock tyres. Not that I need them like how an enzo would but given my choice of narrowing down to BS, I guess it would be a good proposition with only quite a slight premium over 040. If I had more power, I would just go for S03 which are really good but on the heavier side. Very good side wall construction on the S03s

I might just stick to a new set of 040s again..............:)

Cheers!
