Brisk Premium LGS Worth a Try

Well a grey vendor does not disclose alternative sources of supply.

Price disparity of LGS, local vs overseas, as compared to Denso Iridium at Mcwell and Waterloo clearly shows that our retailers are doing great harm of keeping such good plugs away from the masses in Singapore.

Such repeated remarks must have caused some unhappiness here, unfortunately.

Nobody discloses any source. That's business.

I think people like you Hilton is doing more harm by telling the false. The retailers are not keeping the good plugs away from the masses - get this right! Like I say over, over and over again, if you can get the LGS plugs cheaper else where, BY ALL MEANS! Wa lao ae, cannot understand my ang mo is it?

Your repeated remarks are irritating - YES. After that, we all have to tell you again over and over again.

the entire aftermarket automotive industry puzzles me. I think it is time for more transparency in this. The IT industry which I have personal knowledge is bloody wide open `no walls' transparent and it's thriving, thriving defined as you can see most of the major players being able to withstand multiple recessions.

The aftermarket automotive industry seems to me like the IT industry in 1985. 23 years behind. My god. The one thing they caught on is forum marketing though ....

The fast pace in IT has also made everything transparent if not how will Hilton knows that there are cheaper sources else where in the internet? Everthing rides on IT - isn't it not in the 21st Century?

Well then, can Hilton disclose some cheaper sources here on the forum?

Re: Brisk Premium LGS Worth a Try

You guys amaze me. Support a forum sponsor will you, spend an extra few bucks so fuggin what. If you dont support, later everyone complain no one brings stuff in. Bloody tightasses.
I was in the auto aftermarket industry in the 80's btw. Of course not a single business will disclose where they buy their items from hello, nore does the IT industry for that matter.

Snowdog, let the product do the talking.

Only "bad things" I see is the local prices probably the highest across our planet. Local retailers seems to be preventing many of us using such an excellent plug.

I really could not see any barriers to entry in this business. If one could source parts from overseas at a lower costs, what's stopping him? What's stopping you from ordering direct from overseas at a lower costs, and perhaps "benefit" the "masses" by becoming a vendor yourself? The higher local prices, in fact, according to your argument, should be an opportunity to you, not a barrier.

It's hard to practise transparency in the car industry, because it is not perfectly efficient - supplies and information-wise. I have seen vendors undercutting one another just to secure the deal. Worse, vendor supplies parts to workshops and sell direct to end clients at the same time in private, undercutting the workshops at their expenses. In the long haul, the profit margins reside in the vendor's hands, and workshops like J4C suffer in the long run. It is an imperfect industry, when local ADs could do little in supporting the consumers. Look around the various vendor folders, and see how many list their prices. Information assymmetry works, transparency does not.

Hi snowdog! I believed you are working at Juzzforcars right?

Do you provide engine rebuilding service? This is because I am planning to rebuild my engine, thus looking for someone reputable.

Thanks for the reply. I will contact you guys once I have decided to rebuild my engine (should be near end of this year).

Btw, are you able to build an engine thats similar to the one in Metric Mechanic Inc.

I have seen their 2100 Rally engine and is very impressed with the performance.
