What not to do? Cabs and walls don't go well together.

Actually, there isn't anything not to do. Cabs have been onto Sepang without anything breaking off. I don't think everyday driving stress can exceed that of a track day.

just wash with water, let it drain off and dry by itself coz it's waxed, and dont wipe it with any cloth or anything to dry it. also, buy a bottle of impregnator (it bloody sounds like a horny man) from PML parts counter and regularly maintain your soft top with it. thats about all.

I just got a bottle of impregnator from PML and thinking of giving it a try this sat morning. Any1 can give me some instruction on how to apply it on our soft tops as the bottle never state any instructions.

I dunno if I did it right but dilute based on instructions and use a sponge to sponge the canvas in the shade. The mixture will bead initially so you have to like mop it in. Beware of drips running down, they will streak.

After it's done, park in sun to dry. Feels a bit sticky after drying but no worries.

No need to treat a new top for at least a few months to half a year.

If you do, use a cloth to apply it. Mix it 2 capfuls to 20 or 25 capfuls of water. Should be enough for a 4 seater top. Let the thing soak into the canvas and dry totally in the sun. Repeat maybe 2 or 3 times more. Have a wet cloth on standby to clean any runoffs that get on the paint or glass because it is really difficult to remove once it is dry.

It sounds simple tho. Will give it a go this sat.
Weather has been terrible these few weeks. Thinking of puting a protection layer since I have yet do anything to the top yet.

By the way, if you really want to do it, make sure it is a dry and sunny day. 1 hr under the noon sun do wonders to the impregnator on your soft top. The effect is greatly reduce if you are unable to bake it under the hot sun after you applied on your top.

Yeah! Thanks for the tips man. Was ready to do the top today but it was raining the whole day. So, I just spend my whole morning doing just zaino with funnyman. We will do tog, no worries. And also not forgetting the dinner i owe you.
